Un Français en Asie

Jean-Pierre Poinas is a French travel writer, philosopher, and former editorial communication agency director. He began his literary career in earnest after the age of 60. His travels have focussed on the far east, including Nepal, China and Myanmar. He writes from the perspective of fresh eyes, with no knowledge of the language, and a desire to discover the country through meeting its people.  He has published several books of his travels. In his talk he will share his varied experiences both challenging and amusing. 

Jean-Pierre Poinas est un écrivain de voyage français, philosophe et ancien directeur d'une agence de communication éditoriale. Il s'est lancé sérieusement dans sa carrière littéraire après 60 ans. Ses voyages l'ont principalement conduit en Extrême-Orient, notamment au Népal, en Chine et en Birmanie. Il écrit avec un regard neuf, sans connaître la langue, animé par le désir de découvrir le pays en rencontrant ses habitants. Il a publié plusieurs ouvrages consacrés à ses voyages. Lors de sa conférence, il partagera ses expériences variées, tantôt stimulantes, tantôt amusantes.
