Halloween Tricky Blind Wine Tasting

Join us for a very tricky blind tasting evening, where we’ll use our own elements of mischief to confuse you and force your darkest self to be honest about the wines you like – or think you don’t like…

Leave all your wine knowledge, snobbish ideas and pretensions at the door and come ready to indulge in a truly anarchic Halloween Blind Wine Tasting.

Our very own wine expert and Director, Natalia, will be your malevolent wine elf for the evening, guiding (or perhaps deliberately misguiding…) you through six mysterious wines that may challenge everything you thought you knew about your own taste.

Expect surprises, questionable decisions and perhaps a few uncomfortable revelations about what you actually enjoy drinking when the label is taken away.

An open mind, a sense of humour and a willingness to get involved are much more welcome than wine expertise. Dressing up is heavily encouraged. Taking yourself seriously is not.

• Six mystery samples of terrifyingly unidentified wines
• 60 minutes of fun, frustration, tricks and blind-tasting chaos with a slightly unhinged but fully qualified wine host
• Snacks to keep you alive throughout the ordeal
• Absolutely no guarantee that your favourite wine won’t turn out to be something you previously claimed to hate
• £35 per brave soul

Survived the tasting? Why not stay a little longer and recover with a glass of something you can actually see the label of in our cosy Wine Bar? We close at 8pm on Thursdays.

With generous wine samples included – and your judgement potentially compromised by forces beyond our control – we recommend arranging a taxi or travelling by train. Twyford Station is within walking distance of the estate, with direct Elizabeth Line and National Rail services from London.

Practical Details:

• Please note vouchers are not valid for this experience – even the spirits can’t change this
• Event duration: 60 minutes (assuming everyone makes it to the end)
• This is a public event with around 15 guests – all attendees must be 18+, including vampires
• No pets (black cats included 🐈‍⬛)
• Dairy- and gluten-free alternatives are available – please advise us of any dietary requirements when booking
