Wild About Reading 2026
Celebrating nature across Reading
23-27 Oct, various times
Get ready to step outside and explore! Wild About Reading is our town’s biggest celebration of local nature, wildlife, and green spaces.
Whether you're tracking bats by the Thames, exploring heritage trails, or discovering the hidden ecology of your local park, there is an adventure waiting for you—and it’s right on your doorstep.
100% Free to attend and within walking distance from your home in Reading.
We've once again split Reading into five zones for maximum immersion in our natural heritage, with walks, talks and more. From bats to badgers, trees to turbines, marshes to museums, there's truly something for everyone.
