Reading may be known for one particular festival, but we're a town that's filled with them all summer long (and longer!).
And there are usually plenty of opportunities to be part of our festival community - volunteering, performing, offering stalls and more.

Freedom Festival of Falasteen - 7 August 2027
The festival returns for its third year in 2027, once again prioritising performers, volunteers and groups with RG postcodes as we want to keep it local. People of Colour i.e. People of the Global Majority will be prioritised 100%. The aim is to make the demographics of this festival representative of the demographics of the local area as per Census 2021 data. The main aim of Freedom Fest is to unite local people and groups who are pro-Palestine, promote and pay artists who have lost gigs due to being vocal about Palestine, foster social connections, raise awareness of the continuing genocide and funds for a good cause.
There were some comments that people weren't aware this was happening, so Reading Queers for Palestine are opening this Registration of Interest form early to maximise awareness.
